| Hello I'm the House Martin, and for thirty years I've been tackling handyman jobs. Today people are busier than ever to maintain for themselves. Your time is valuable so I'm here to help. Your jobs: Often you'll have a list of various jobs. Typically, single women, working couples, families with busy husbands, or the elderly contact me for jobs taking between an hour and a day. The sort of work I perform is listed here but if your job is not shown please email me. Leave me to it ...if you like: People regularly trust me to work through a list of jobs often leaving a key and contact number. But, not everyone is comfortable with this so you may prefer to be around.  I have been CRB checked and approved for the Age Concern Handyman Scheme. |
How I work: Either I work to a quote or I charge for the actual time taken. Each has advantages. Estimates: An estimate gives you a fixed labour cost. Materials are extra unless you supply everything. I don't charge for things like screws or glue but anything unexpectedly needed (plus the time to get it) will be added. Note: Estimates are normally arranged for Thursday evenings and provided by email. Charging by time: Working through your job list often works out cheaper than an itemised estimate as I put unused time toward the next task. You don't pay for my breaks but you do pay for any time taken to purchase something required to complete the job. 2009 Rates: It costs £25 for the first half-hour and £12.50 per half-hour after. See rates Note: Recession discount for OAPs. Insurance: Full public liability insurance is carried so you can be confident you are covered if anything untoward should happen. Satisfaction: Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not happy the work will be done again or put right at no charge. |
